How to Create a Leopard Gecko Tank Setup

The first step in setting up a leopard gecko tank is determining the proper humidity level. You want to have the humidity level of the tank in the range of 20 to 40 percent.

Plastic can scratch easily, however, and is not as hygienic as glass. Plastic vivaria are more prone to bacteria and can also scratch easily. Wooden tanks also tend to be smaller than glass vivaria.

To make sure that your leopard gecko is receiving the proper temperature and humidity levels, you can place dual thermometers in the tank.

It is advisable to place one thermometer on the warm end of the enclosure and another one in the cool end.
